Force Sensing Resistors® (FSR) are robust polymer thick film (PTF) devices whose resistance drops as more force is applied to the sensor surface. They are optimized for human touch control of electronic devices such as automotive electronics, medical systems, and industrial PCs. FSRs are not load cells or strain gauges, though they share many of their properties.
